The town of Ambleside is full of charm and, lined with old but quaint brick houses and shops, it has many picturesque paths and corners to explore. The town is embedded with history and many features remain including an old water wheel and, as a reminder of gingerbread’s birthplace, a classic gingerbread shop still trades today.
If there is one spot which sums up the magic of this town, it must be the bridge house which is balanced across the Stock Beck.

I love Ambleside and that little bridge house. The Lake District is one of my favorite places to walk!
