Easy like Como

There’s more to Como than just the lake, and the historic heart of the centro storico stretches back from the waterfront. Most of it is pedestrianised so it’s easy to wander through its medieval squares, cobbled passages and churches.

There are also some of the original city walls and gates still standing. Where a lot of Lake Como’s villages are straight from a postcard, Como feels more like a ‘real’ place with locals shopping and downing espressos in its pavement cafés.

  1. We’ve ridden all around the lake and love spending time in Como the week-end of Il Lombardia (bike race) in early October.

    1. Thank you Sheree for all your comments on our posts. To cycle around Lake Como and visit all those quaint villages seems a great idea for a short holiday.

  2. Glad to know about your suggestions @
