Not a single soul in Fjällbacka

Riding into Fjällbacka was a dream. It’s the most picturesque town I have ever been to. Tiny white houses with red roofs line the rocky shore over crystal blue waters. It’s a small town and it felt even smaller because we literally didn’t see a single person while crossing through the town north to south, in search of our campground.

Have a ‘Fika’ in Sigtuna, Sweden’s First City

I remember this day very vividly from last spring. It felt like I had literally spent my day in a hundred post cards – the kind of feeling you get when you are in a place too pretty to be true.

Visby is often called “The City of Roses”

It’s hard to overstate the beauty of the Hanseatic port town of Visby (Sweden), in itself justification for making the ferry trip to Gotland. Inside its thick medieval walls are twisting cobblestone streets, fairy-tale cottages draped in flowers, and gorgeous ruins atop hills with stunning Baltic views.

Nordic Wonders of Wild Camping

The central principle of Allmansrätten is “do not disturb, do not destroy”, making the freedom to camp wild available for all to enjoy so long as you pitch your tent away from houses or farmland; respect any signage and do not drive your vehicle off-road. You can even light an open fire providing you minimise the risk of spreading.
