Not a single soul in Fjällbacka

Riding into Fjällbacka was a dream. It’s the most picturesque town I have ever been to. Tiny white houses with red roofs line the rocky shore over crystal blue waters. It’s a small town and it felt even smaller because we literally didn’t see a single person while crossing through the town north to south, in search of our campground.

Being part of the magic at Lake Constance

It is not often I go to a town and explore it completely afresh. No map, no tourist information centre, no research. When I arrived in Lake Constance (Bodensee), it was pouring with rain. The view over the lake was stunning – crisp blue water, pretty roof tops and a tall church spire. It felt like magic was happening up there and that I was a part of it.

The aquamarine pools of Plitvice

Sometimes, words don’t do a place justice, so I will keep this brief. Aquamarine pools, waterfalls bubbling over green moss and water shooting down from the earth like a natural fountain makes this park a truly special place.
